Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston, is publishing a public blog about medical errors at the Boston hospital, which is part of Partners HealthCare.
The Harvard Medical School teaching hospital describes some of its medical errors and near-misses n its Safety Matters blog. The hospital hopes that the blog educates its staff, as well as patients and healthcare professionals from outside the hospital, to help prevent future mistakes and raise public trust in the prestigious institution.
Until recently, only hospital staff had access to monthly editions of Safety Matters in PDF form.
