Two hospital advocacy groups in Illinois are merging in order to create a more powerful  lobbying voice on healthcare issues.

The groups are: Illinois Hospital Association, which represents more than 200 hospitals and nearly 50 health systems, and the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council, representing more than 150 local hospitals and organizations.
