The great migration to outpatient services continues:

Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System will close  St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator, Ill., and transfer ownership of the hospital and its related facilities to Peoria, Ill.-based OSF Healthcare System.

OSF plans to initially use the former hospital building for  outpatient services. But OSF also has plans to build a new outpatient center in Streator; Becker’s Hospital Review says it’s uncertain what will  happen to the St. Mary’s building when the new Streator facility opens.
