The Cleveland area’s MetroHealth has hired most of the physicians from HealthSpan’s disbanded physicians group, adding 40,000 new patients to its network of facilities across Cuyahoga County.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer said that the  move could “potentially provide a large chunk of new business for MetroHealth, increasing its annual patient load by 16 percent. It also offers a soft landing for patients of HealthSpan, most of whom will be able to keep their doctors.”
