LifeHealthPro reports on a new federal program that gives health insurers incentives for covering patients with risky health issues. But the Feds worry about some insurers abusing the system in assigning risk scores to enrollees to make them look sicker than they are. And so the government is starting a new tracking system to monitor this.
The name of the program to fight risk-score inflation is called HHS-Operated Risk Adjustment Data Validation (HHS-RADV). The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services wants insurers to sent it their HHS-RADV reports by April 30, 2016.
